Dr. Lauren Downie

Bio
Dr Lauren Downie MBBS, FACRRM, Adv DRANZCOG is a Rural Generalist Obstetrician with additional training in women’s health and sexual health.
She has extensive experience in pregnancy care, intrapartum care and all family planning services, as well as menopause management, pessary changing and STI management.
In addition to her clinical work, Lauren is a medical educator for ACRRM, one of the two colleges in Australia that provide training for specialist GPs.
Prior to her general practice training she worked in obstetrics and gynaecology in a number of Victoria hospitals, including the Royal Women’s Hospital, and she continues to work at West Gippsland Healthcare Group (Warragul Hospital) which allows her to provide obstetric care to patients booked through that service.
Lauren lives in Gippsland with her family, and has just returned from a year away in Canada.
