COVID-19 UPDATE

14 May 2022 We are reaching out to let everyone know that we are experiencing staff shortages due to Covid-19 and flu infections.

You may be contacted by our reception team early next week to change your appointment type to telehealth and/or you may be asked to reschedule for a later date.

We ask for your patience and kindness as we facilitate these changes, our reception team will strive to accommodate you.
We have in place some online facilities that may help you whilst you await an appointment, or could use instead of an appointment. You can request your regular prescriptions via HotDoc (fees apply) We will also be introducing online requests for referrals via HotDoc (fees apply).

We have also made the tough decision to not accept new patients to the clinic at present. We hope to be able to accept new patients in the future, but at this difficult time we need to prioritise our currently registered patients.
If you are seeking a non-urgent appointment, you can book this online 24/7 at hotdoc.com.au. Telehealth is a fantastic option for seeking care that does not require an examination, and we encourage you to schedule this type of appointment as an alternative rather than delaying your medical needs.

We look forward to helping as many people as possible despite this challenge! Thank you for your continuing support.

Announcements - Doctors

Just like in life, change within a medical clinic is inevitable. Below are some updates to keep everyone informed of what is happening at GSMC this year;

Farewells

After five years Dr Ashney Elias finished with us on 31 March 2022. Ashney is off to the UK to live, work and explore Europe.

Dr Anna Baldassa will finish practicing at GMSC on 12 May 2022. Anna has worked in West Gippsland for nearly two decades, initially as a hospital doctor and then as a GP.

We thank both Ashney and Anna for their service to their patients and the community during their time with us, and wish them all the very best for the next stage of their careers.

Pauses...

Dr Mark Crowley will commence an extended holiday on 20 May 2022. Mark is heading to Ireland to get married (congratulations!) and travel. We expect to see him back in early 2023.

Dr Jenny Worboys continues her family leave. We thank everyone for their on-going understanding during this time.

Welcome backs!

Dr Lauren Downie returned in February 2022 after completing advanced GP training a little further east in Gippsland.
