Dr. Kate Milner

Bio

In October 2026, we welcome Dr. Kate Milner, Developmental Paediatrician, who will be consulting fortnightly Fridays at GSMC.

Kate is also a post-doctoral research fellow in global child development and disability at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute and she also practises at The Royal Children's Hospital in the Department of Neurodevelopment & Disability. She trained in medicine at Monash University and Public Health at the University of New South Wales.

Kate emphasises approaches to understanding developmental difference which are holistic, child and family-centred, strengths-based, trauma informed and neuro affirming. 

Appointments

As a specialist Paediatrican, referrals are required for appointments with Dr. Kate and appointments are offered via a triage system. Please ask your doctor to send your referral via fax to (03) 5622 1001 and our reception team will contact you with an appointment time. If you have not heard from us after 5 business days, please phone us on (03) 5622 0444. You are welcome to phone earlier to ensure your referral has been received. 

Fees

Dr. Kate Milner is a fully private billing Paediatrician and fees apply to all consultations. Payment is due at the end of the consultation. Please review the table below for Dr. Kate's fees and you are welcome to call reception (03) 5622 0444 for any payment enquiries. 

Information for referring doctors

Dr. Kate is accepting referrals for developmental behavioural concerns and conditions including developmental delays, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD and school difficulties.

If you have access to pre-school/school reports, allied health reports, relevant specialist reports or genetics results, please include these in your referral. 

Referrals must be sent to Gladstone Street Medical Clinic via Healthlink (gladsmd) or fax: (03) 5622 1001 and are triaged. The family is contacted by our reception team with an appointment. Please allow 5 business days for the referral to be triaged and family to be contacted. 

For any urgent referrals, or if you are unsure if your referral is appropriate, please contact the clinic on (03) 5622 0444 and a message will be left for Dr. Kate to respond. 

Cancellation and Non-Attendance Policy

Cancellation and Non-Attendance Policy We require 2 business days notice of cancellation or rescheduling for appointments with Dr. Kate. This helps us with being able to offer the appointment time to another family on the waiting list. Cancellations made less than 2 business days prior will incur a cancellation fee, up to the full cost of the consultation. 

Failure to attend your scheduled appointment will incur a non-attendance fee of the full cost of the consultation.
