Dr. Chandana Wijeweera

Bio
Dr Chandana (Chandy) Wijeweera is a GP Registrar at GSMC. He completed a Bachelor of Biomedical Science and Master of Public Health in Brisbane and Doctor of Medicine in Sydney, before packing up and moving to Gippsland to train as a rural generalist.
In the clinic, he enjoys the long term, whole-family side of general practice and the satisfaction of good preventative care that comes with it. His clinical interests include acute medicine, chronic disease management, men's health, mental health and paediatrics.
Chandana remains actively involved with research and teaching in the local community and continues to work in the emergency department at the local hospital part time.
Outside the clinic you'll find him on a tennis court, at the gym, or working his way through the local parks and play centers with his family.
