UPDATE TO FEES 1 November 2023 - Please note - BULK BILLING WILL NOT be reintroduced based on increased incentive payments for General Practice. Unfortunately, bulk billing consultations continues to not be financially viable. The reality is, even with increased incentive payments, the amount paid will not equal the amount needed to cover costs and adequately compensate your doctor and/or the practice.

Private billing fees apply to consultations. Doctors, who choose to set their own fees, are no longer bulk billing Concession Card holders or children 15 years & under and there is no discount for healthcare or pension cards.

Indicative Fees

Standard consultation fee - $89 (Medicare rebate $41.40)

Long consultation - $178.00 (Medicare rebate $80.10)

Please note, associate doctors set their own fees. Doctors charge other fees for procedures, longer/more complicated appointments, medical reports, completion of forms, etc. Please ask reception for more information.

Full payment is expected at the conclusion of each consultation. If an account is taken and not paid within 7 business days, a $10 handling charge will be applied to your invoice.

DVA Gold Card Holders are direct billed for consultations.

If you are experiencing financial difficulty, please discuss this with your doctor during your consultation. Reception staff communicate the fees determined by the doctor, they do not determine the fees.

Dr Jackie Fankhauser is now consulting in the clinic Tuesdays and by telehealth on Wednesdays. She will finish practicing at GSMC in mid-December 2023.  In September 2023 Dr Esha Gopee farewelled GSMC and has relocated overseas with her family. We thank Dr Esha for her dedicated service to the community.

The Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI) has recommended all people aged 18 and over, who have not had either a COVID-19 vaccine or confirmed coronavirus case in the last six months, to have another Covid 19 vaccination. We regularly have stock of the Pfizer Covid 19 vaccine available. We will have stocks of the current Pfizer vaccination later somewhere around 29-30 November 2023. We will have the new XBB.1.5 Pfizer vaccine late in December 2023(exact date to be determined based on ordering and delivery). Please give us a call on 5622 0444 or ask your GP/Nurse for more information/query availability. Flu vaccination season is reaching an end...we may have stock available. Please give us a call to check availability.
